Interview: Adding Texture & Extra Dimension to UV Printing

UV Curable printing technologies have taken a leap forward since the introduction of LED curing lamps. This enables this versatile ink to be deposited on a wide range of substrates without overheating issues. Additionally, one of the characteristics of UV inks allows them to instantly cure layer upon layer. With several layers stacked on to of each other dimension can be added to the printed image.

 

Dimensional printing can add range oi textures to printed image without the need for physical embossing. This can include colors, white inks, and varnishes that can add subtle textures to wall coverings, posters or higher piles for braille text.
